Numerical simulation of temperature field of magnesium alloy laser-MIG hybrid welding

The temperature field of magnesium alloy laser-MIG hybrid welding was simulated by the MSC.Marc software,and the calculated result was compared with that of experimental tests.The results show that the calculated values are in good agreement with experimental measurements in the shape and size of welding joint.The deviation of comparison between computed temperature values and measured temperature values in the three points of the base is all controlled within 8%.The cooling time from solid temperature to 300 ℃ of the weld in bottom surface will be longer than that in upper surface.
