Wear property of high-silicon aluminium alloy cylinder sleeve

Through the reciprocating friction and wear method,and with tank special lubricating oil,wear experiments of spray-formed high-silicon aluminium are investigated with friction pair of engine piston ring and other piston rings.For friction pair of engine piston ring,wearing capacity and friction coefficient of high-silicon aluminium alloy are lower under low temperature oil lubrication than that under high temperature oil and general oil lubrication.For friction pair of other piston rings,both wearing capacity and friction coefficient of high-silicon aluminium alloy are lower,and wear properties of high-silicon aluminium alloy is better with friction pair of 准126 mm laser ceramic piston ring and YH31 piston ring phosphide.The friction mechanism analysis of high-silicon aluminium alloy indicates that high-hardness particles in soft parent metal perform function of wearing resistance and supporting.Dents on soft parent metal surface produced by friction can store oil and are helpful to lubrication.
