STUDY OF BENDING STRENGH AND FRACTURE MECHANISM OF COPPER-GRAPHITE MATERIAL

The effects of graphite content on porosity and porosity on bending strengh of the copper base PM material were studied, The fracture morphology was observed by SEM. The results show that porosity is a linear function of graphite content and that bending strength is an exponential function of porosity. With the increase of graphite content, the bending frature morphology changes gradually from dimple to cleavage.
