Energy Transfer in Organic Electroluminescent Devices

A new organic electroluminescent device with EuGd complex (Eu_(0.1) Gd_ (0.9))(TTA)_3(TPPO)_2 as an emitter is reported.The characteristics of this device are described and the electroluminescent spectra between 77 K and 300 K are investigated. The result is discussed in terms of yields of phosphorescence from the triplet state of the Gd and Eu chelates and the intermolecular energy transfer from ligand to Eu 3+ ion.
