Study on the Effect of Dispersion on Stimulated Raman Scattering in DWDM Systems

In theory,the influences of the dispersion on nonlinear effect of stimulated Raman scattering(SRS) have been discussed in wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) systems.A simple and explicit model on stimulated Raman scattering has been proposed.It is fit for arbitrary input signal,channel number and dispersion parameter.By using this model,the influences of the dispersion on SRS in two channels and different dispersion fiber communication systems have been deeply analyzed.It is concluded that the dispersion can decrease the fluctuation of output power caused by SRS,and the output power standard deviation curve as distances under the condition of different fiber dispersion parameters are given.
