Preparation of CdS Nanofilm by Electrodeposition Method

CdS nanofilm is deposited at the interface of the surface active agents and the electrolyte by the method of electrodeposition.By comparing different types of surface active agents and electrolyte in the same conditions,CdS nanofilm is deposited at the interface of the electrolyte of thioacetamide and cadmium chloride and surface active agents of castor oil.The effects of concentration cell voltage' pH and temperature on nanofilm preparation have been studied.The optimal conditions in which the nanofilm was prepared were: the concentration of CdCl was 4 mmol·L-1,the concentration of the thioacetamide was 12 mmol·L-1,the voltage was 5 V,the pH value was 4.8 and the amount of castor oil /hexadecanol was 0.06 ml/cm-2.The experiment indicated that Grain diameter of CdS nanofilm deposited at optimum condition,about 30 nm on average,is homogeneous and approximate a sphere shape.It will have special application future in non-line optical material.
