Study on Characteristics of Fabry-Perot Filter Based on Fiber Bragg Grating

Based on the analysis of its cavity characteristics,a mathematic model is presented for fiber Bragg grating Fabry-Perot filter.Theoretical analysis is made using the method of transfer matrix for fiber Bragg grating Fabry-Perot cavity.The spectrums of the filter are simulated and analyzed in detail by Matlab software,and the effect and their relationship between the spectrum feature of the filter and its relating parameters are elucidated out.According to the condition of phase resonance of the cavity,the relationship between fiber grating period and cavity length for fiber grating Fabry-Perot cavity has been deduced,which provides a basis for the practical facture of Fabry-Perot filters based on fiber Bragg grating.
