Low-consumption and Near-linearity CMOS Optically Coupled Amplifier

A kind of CMOS optically coupled isolation amplifier was designed and two operational amplifiers were given,one was a"sleeve"CMOS cascode input amplifier A1 and the other one was two-stage and double common-source CMOS output amplifier A2.To improve the gain linearity and reduce the power consumption,negative feedback signal of A1 was introduced to the input loop through two optically coupled devices,and then negative feedback was separately introduced into both A1 and A2,and other innovative measures were taken in this amplifier.The experimental results show that the ±3 dB bandwidth of this designed amplifier is increased by about 14 kHz,and the power consumption(PD) is decreased by 5.46 mW,and the gain linearity is increased to 5.9×10-5 compared with that of the BiCMOS.With these characteristics,this amplifier is very suitable for high-linearity,low-consumption optoelectronic signal processing and intelligent detecting systems.
