Mode and Bandgap of Electromagnetic Wave in Flat-panel 1-D Photonic Crystal

The mode and bandgap of electromagnetic wave in flat-panel 1-D photonic crystal is studied by the characteristic matrix method.The condition of electromagnetic wave mode is obtained.The bandgap of TE wave and TM wave is calculated.The new bandgap structure of flat-panel 1-D photonic crystal is obtained.
