Design of Current-based Maximum Power Point Tracking Systems

For the deficiencies of current methods for maximum power point tracking(MPPT) of solar cells,a new strategy,only-current-based MPPT system,was put forward.The basic principles and the feasibility of the only-current-based MPPT strategy were elaborated,and the design and debugging of the controlling system,especially the current monitoring circuit design and step-by-step PWM controller based on CMOS digital circuit hardware logical programming were introduced in detail.Debuggings and improvements ensure the MPPT controlling system to achieve maximum power point tracking as well as show its advantages compared with other MPPT strategies.
