Influence of Nano-Titania Additive on the Property of TiO_2 Varistor Ceramics

The influence of nano-titania additive on the electric properties of TiO, varistor ceramic is investigated. The results show that the varistor voltage decreases and the non-linear constant of this ceramic is improved by doping nano-titania. An analysis is made that with the increase of sintering temperature, voltage of TiO, varistor decreases and its non-linear constant increases. The results show that the lower varistor voltage, F1mA =4.66 V/mm, the better non-linear coefficient, a =4.73, and higher dielectric constant, ε r=1.19× 104 when sintered at 1400℃ and doped 5% nano-titania.
