The controlling of nanoparticle agglomerates

FENG La jun, LIU Yi hui, LEI A li (College of Materials Science and Engineering, Xi'an University of Technology, Xi'an 710048, China)  
The influence factors and forming mechanism of nanoparticle agglomerates were analyzed in this paper. This article pointed out that forces such as Van der Waals force, hydrogen bond action and electrostatic action were the essential reasons for agglomerates. Controlling methods of nanoparticle agglomerates in gaseous mediums and liquid mediums were discussed respectively. The former mostly included mechanical disperse, drying operation and electrostatic disperse etc. and the later included washing with organic compound, mixing up dispersant, distillation with boiling, special drying method and ultrasound cavitations etc. At the same time some special controlling methods were emphasized .
