Research Development on CdSe/TiO_2 Nanocomposites

The utilization ratio of visible light is increased,and the photoelectric and photocatalytic properties are significantly improved after CdSe and TiO2 are coupled.The principle of CdSe-sensitized TiO2 is briefly described,and the preparation methods and properties of CdSe/TiO2 nanocomposites are mainly reviewed.The current preparation methods of CdSe nanocomposites in the form of film and powder and the application of the nanocomposites in the field of photocatalysis and solar cells are introduced,further more the structures and properties of nanocomposites prepared by different methods are simply compared.However,there are still defects in the nanocomposites,so the further research is done to improve the properties of nanocompo-sites,and a brief introduction related to the research is given too.Therefore,the focus of future research is to improve the properties of the nanocomposites by controlling or modifying the morphologies of the CdSe or TiO2.The researches of photoelectric and photocatalytic properties should be enhanced simultaneity.
