The Youth Culture Spotlighted In the Films of "the 6th Generation

Normally,in either social or cultural structures, the young people are always the group on the margins, who are frequently associated with being radical, modern, instinctive, cynical and idealistic. These distinctive characteristics are vividly captured in the films of the Chinese"6th generation"directors, which well prove the fact that Chinese culture has been shifting from being rational to being instinctive since 1980s. And, Chinese youth films, in the mean time, have gone through the stages from the"Long Live the Youth,""Tough Youth" now to the period of "Consumer Youth".
