On the Characteristics of “Writing Ci-Poems in Prose Style”

Writing Ci-poems in Prose Style” is an important concept in the history of Chinese ci-poem criticism. The concept was first vaguely used in the Song dynasty, and only gradually did it take a definitive meaning. The concept of “Writing Ci-poems in Prose Style” has led to several major breakthroughs in rhyme-making,sentence structure, linguistic characteristics, and descriptive characteristics. It represents poetry in terms of “writing ci-poems with Wen-Qi". “Writing Ci-poems in Prose Style” reveals the characteristic writing style of the poetry of Xin Qi-ji and his followers. The poets of the Qianchun circle in the South Song also shares the characteristic writing style.
