THE AMPLIFICATION AND SEQUENCE ANALYSIS OF SOX GENE IN MOUSE

In this paper, the primers which specially amplify the conservative motif of human SRY gene were used and the PCR amplification of SOX gene in mouse was studied. The results showed that a band which length was 235 bp present in the PCR products of mouse. The sequence analysis indicated that there was no difference in the SOX gene sequence between the male and female in mouse. This gene was the homologue fragment of human SRY gene. Their similarity was over 60%. The result of this paper supports the conclusion that the SOX gene is conservative in phylogenetics.
