Experimentation on River Section Measurement Based on GPR

River section measurement is complicated,its accuracy depending on the density of the measuring points and the precision of the instruments.If the density of the measuring line is insufficient,the accuracy of section location cannot be ensured;conversely,workload is increased.If the accuracy of the instruments is not up to standard,the same problems occur.Based on SIR-20 GPR,this article explores the measuring technique of river sections through in-house experiment,and introduces the experimental process of river section measurement and the method of parameter inverse analysis.Then,calculate the shape of the cross-section and compare it with the actual figures.The experiment shows that SIR-20 GPR can be applied to the measurement of river sections.It can not only satisfy measurement accuracy,but also realize continuous sections scanning,improve the accuracy of cross-section shape description,and output cross-section image automatically.It is intuitive,low in cost,fast and easy to deal with,and time and labor saving.It also improves work efficiency and drawing accuracy.
