Detection and Compensation of Reactive and Harmonic Currents for Photovoltaic Grid-connected System

The p-q method based on instantaneous reactive power theory is introduced.By means of this method,the sum of the components of reactive and harmonic currents is extracted from the nonlinear local current,which serves as the reference current value for photovoltaic grid-connected inverter,and the actual output current value of the inverter serves as the feedback.According to the PWM method of current deadbeat control,the inverter compensates the reactive and harmonic currents of local load,and frees the power grid from providing reactive power for the local load and hence reduces the harmonic current of power grid.Accordingly,the harmonic pollution in electrical power system caused by nonlinear load current waveform distortion is avoided,and the stability of power system is enhanced.Finally,the simulation results are given,validating the feasibility of the theory and the rapidity of current deadbeat control.
