Application of Factor Analysis and Cluster Analysis Method in the Water Quality Evaluation and Environmental Management

Based on the monitoring data of Chaohu in the year of 2001—2003,the contribution rate of water pollution factors of Chaohu is calculated quantitatively,and all kinds of water environmentally managed areas are divided rationally with the complex model of factor analysis and cluster analysis,According to the results, some corresponding measures of water environmental management are advised.The results show that the main pollutions of Chaohu have changed from year 2001 to 2003.In the sections of Chaohu water environmental management,Chaohu can be divided into two parts generally,each part can also be divided into many small parts.Western part is heavily polluted,the water resources in this sections should be controlled.Eastern Part is not so heavily polluted as western part,the water resources in this sections should be preserved and controlled,to some extent,factor-cluster analysis has its value.
