Studies on the Optimization of TSP-Pb Monitoring Sites in Shanghai

Based on the analysis of the TSP-Pb monitoring data in 23 stations of Shanghai from 1991 to 2004,exellent correlation between TSP and Pb was found.Then the stations were optimized by analyzing the TSP data merely.All stations were classified into six classes through cluster analysis,as following,cluster analysis was used with data of each station and the average of the class in the classes which contain more than one station,as a result,one station was selected to represent its class.Resultly,Minyi,Zhabei,Chongming,Nanhui,Baoshanzhan and Xuhui were selected to represent the pollution level.The comparation between the original data and the result incates that the optimization result is reasonable,and loss of the information is small.
