Experimental Study of Inhibition of Coal Dust Pollution in Railway Transportation

Dust inhibitor solution,when sprayed on the surface of coal stock pile,can make the surface material bond with each other to form a layer of crust,having a role of dust prevention.Flying dust concentrations of coal samples spilled with different dust inhibitor was tested at a wind speed of 30 m/s.A control experiment was carried out under same condition,but dust inhibitor was not used.A control experiment without the use of dust inhibitor was carried out under same condition.The industrial test was made in Huafeng mine's coal yard at Jixi,Heilongjiang province.The results of the industrial test indicated that the use of dust inhibitor has a positive effect on the inhibition of coal dust caused by railway transportation of coal.The application of this dust inhibitor at coal transportation of railway will not only reduce the flying dust so as to protect the environment,but also decrease the loss of coal.
