Environmental Health Risk Assessment for Water Supply Sources of Liu He in Xin Min

In order to assess the risk of the Liu river supply source in Xinmin city,a model of water environmental health risk assessment is established,on the basis of introducing assessment method of water environmental health risk.The result indicates that:(1)the pollutants of highest control priority are gene toxic substances for ground water in Liu river supply source,but are non-gene toxic substances for under ground water;(2)for gene toxic substances,the pollutants of highest control priority are As and Cr,for non-gene toxic substances,ammonia is the highest priority pollutant in the water supply sources;(3)the total health risk caused by all pollutants for six sections such as the Liu river upper section,ranges from 10-5 to 10-4,so the six sections should be put into important control;(4)at present,an environmental health risk assessment is not required in environmental assessments in China.This paper suggests that environmental health risk assessment should be included in environmental assessments in order to improve the safety of the water supply resource.
