Dynamic Adsorption of Calibrator's Waste Gas on Viscose Rayon-based Activated Carbon Fibre

Dynamic adsorption experimental equipment was employed to study the temperature-resistant property of viscose rayon-based activated carbon fibre(VACF) as well as the influence on equilibrium Absorption amount of Calibrator's waste gas,which was Absorbed by VACF,exerted by pretreatment,sample flow velocity and intake waste gas concentration.The result of experiment demonstrated that VACF can resist high temperature.After VACF had been immersed in boiling distilled water for 2 hours,the equilibrium Absorption amount reached its maximum.In addition,higher flow velocity would bring lower saturated Absorption and higher adsorption rate.First-order kinetics model was applied to reflect the adsorption process.The Langmuir,Freundlich and DR Absorption equations were used to simulate the isotherms.The results showed that at low lampblack partial pressure,the Langmuir,Freundlich model fitted the experimental data,while at high lampblack partial pressure,the DR model fitted the experimental data.
