Treatment of Reactive Brilliant Red Wastewater by Heterogeneous Catalytic Oxidation Process

Heterogeneous catalyst was prepared using fly ash as carrier.Discoloration of 98 mg·L-1 reactive brilliant red was studied by using heterogeneous catalytic oxidation process.Experimental results show that the discolor rate can be up to 98.21% under the best treatment conditions(the dosage of catalyst is 40 g·L-1,the dosage of 30% H2O2 is 3 mL·L-1,pH value is 4,treatment time is 10 min).Compared with traditional Fenton system,heterogeneous catalytic oxidation process raised the discolor rate of the activity brilliant red,shortened the reaction time,raised the efficiency of H2O2,extended the pH scope and improved the draining of Fe2+.
