Land-use Optimization Schemes for Tongzhou District of Beijing Based on the Ecological Footprint Accounting

Tongzhou District,as one of the important suburbs of Beijing,will distribute massive population of Beijing urban district according to Beijing Urban Planning.So it is important to optimize land-use schemes of Tongzhou district.This paper sets three schemes for Tongzhou District land-use structure in 2010 with the method of scenario analysis,and calculates ecological footprint of the three schemes by using the equivalence factors in 2000,2002 and 2004 separately in order to obtain the most optimized scheme.The result indicates that the scheme Ⅱ's ecological deficit is the smallest one in all conditions,which means the scheme Ⅱ is the perfect one in the three schemes.The result also explains that Tongzhou Distirct's ecological deficit will be the smallest in the future when accounting ecological footprint with equivalence factor in 2002.According to the results of questionnaire survey analysis,in order to promote sustainable development of ecological environment and economy in Tongzhou District,Tongzhou Distirct must import massive resources and energy,and change the existing lifestyle and consumption pattern.
