Studies on the Upconversion Luminescence of a New Material Doped with Er 3+

Zhao Suling Hou Yanbing Sun Li (Collge of Science,Northern Jiaotong University,Beijing 100044)  
A new material doped with Er 3+ or codoped with Er 3+ and Yb 3+ was reported. Through measuring the excitation spectra and the upconversion spectra in short wavelength region, we investigated the upconversion process. The results are that the upconversion luminescence is three photon process or four photon process. Then, we compared upconversion spectra with the samples doped sensitizer and the undoped sensitizer.
