A Distorted Image Rectification Algorithm Based on Least Square Image Matching

This paper presents a distorted image rectification algorithm which is based on least square image matching. This algorithm first preprocesses the image with the method of character extraction and edge detection, then links the character matching with least square algorithm to achieve the exact sub pixel locating and matching between original image and templet image. Experiments show that this algorithm can greatly improve the precision of image locating and matching, and it is a better algorithm in distorted image rectification.
