XML Applied in Product Information Integration of Network-Based Manufacturing

A major obstacle in production information integration of network based manufacturing is that the flow of information models between various design softwares is difficult. This thesis proposes the unified product data markup language, which is based on XML, to describe data shared within design softwares, and constructs an infrastructure of product information integration with UPDML. It provides a common method for flow of information models between various design softwares in network based manufacturing system that have various data formats.
