Discussing Several Methods of Reducing the Wheel/Rail Wearing of the Independently Rolling Wheel System

The use of the independently rolling wheel can lower efficiently the height of the vehicle floor, therefore, the much attention is paid to this technology in the light rail vehicle system at present. However, the using time of the wheel and rail is seriously limited because of it's grave wheel/rail wearing while its passing through the little curve. Based on a great deal of simulation, several methods such as setting rational minimum curve radius, reasonable curve passing velocity, rail lubricating and the guard_wheel structure of the bogie in reducing the wheel/rail wearing of the independent rolling wheel/rail system are offered in this paper.
