Testing Research of Residual Stress Distribution in Rail by Magnetic Elastic Method

Magnetic Elastic Method is a kind of new nondestructive testing method. In this paper, the magnetic characteristic curve of U71Mn rail was determined by using of magnetic method, and the calibration curve was obtained. The residual stress distribution in the rail of U71Mn 60 kg/m was measured. And an effective testing technology is proposed for determining the residual stress in the rail.
