Analysis of Seismic Response for Deck and Large Span Arch Bridge Concrete Filled Steel Tube

Taking the Huangbohe bridge located on the external transportation system of the Three Gorge Project as study background, the dynamic characteristics for large span arch bridge of concrete filled steel tube are calculated and analyzed by using 3D finite element model. In addition, 3D seismic response of this bridge is analyzed by means of more than 10 seismic records selected with response spectrum method and time history method. The effects of the main structural form, different seismic waves and several soil sites on seismic response have been discussed. This study provides theoretic basis for seismic design and study of large span arch bridge of concrete filled steel tube.
