Analysis and Comparison of the Performance About Wireless Modulation Technologies in Empty and Straight Mine Tunnel

In order to establish an effective wireless communication system in underground coal mine.After studying the fading situation of mine tunnel,this paper found out the relationship between the bit error rate(BER) of narrowband and wideband signal and transmission distance in the empty and straight mine laneway.The effects of the laneway channel on the signal at the frequency of 900 MHz、1800 MHz and 2.4 GHz is studied respectively.By comparison and analysis,it is concluded that compared with the signal at the frequency of 900 MHz and 1800 MHz,the signal of 2.4 GHz cover longer distance in the laneway when the data rate is low(such as several tens of kbit/s).Besides,wideband signal can improve the BER performance significantly,transmit more several decameters,and is more suitable for wireless communication than narrowband signal in mine tunnel.
