Friction and Wear Behavior and Influencing Factors of Damping Materials

Friction and wear experiments were carried out on some new and normal kinds of materials of freight car damper.Friction and wear properties of different kinds of friction couple materials and influencing factors in this experiment were studied by 7 groups.The result shows that the friction coefficients of the friction couples,such as T10 and acicular iron ductile iron、polymer material,less-alloy ADI and ADI,are smaller than those between common 45 steel and ADI austempered ductile iron.The wear loss of 45 steel and ADI austempered ductile iron is the highest while T10 and polymer material friction couple is the least.The main influencing factors include friction velocity and friction surface state of the friction pair,heat conduction and storage properties and friction compatibility of the materials,and so on.
