Study on Curve Radius Standard for Linear Metro

Good curving performance is one of the most remarkable characteristics of linear metro.In this paper,based on the technical features of this system, and with the vehicle movement dynamics,the main influence factors which affect the minimum horizontal curve radius standard were analyzed,and the corresponding parameters were determined;then,based on the vehicle and track structures applied in Guangzhou Metro line 4,a dynamic coupling model was developed.The effects of curve radius,speed and superelevation on dynamic responses of the system were also studied,and the curve parameters were checked with this model.Finally,the standard of minimum radius of horizontal curve was proposed for the route alignment of linear metro.
