Dynamic Responses of Train and Cable-Stayed Bridge System Under Wind Action

This paper studies the lateral vibration of cable-stayed railway bridge under train and wind loads.The system model is established,the dynamic equations are deduced,and the computer programs are worked out.By means of Monte Carlo simulation technique,random wind series are generated.Whole histories of train passing through the bridge while the system is acted on by random winds are simulated on computer.The acceleration and displacement responses at the mid-span and the tower top of bridge,as well as the lateral acceleration of train-vehicles are calculated.By taking a real cable-stayed railway bridge as an example,some basic problems are discussed on the dynamic responses of train-bridge system under normal service conditions with wind speed less than 30m/s.
