A Study on the Replacement of “WEN”(问) by “XIANG”(向)——And discussion about the historical evolvement of “WEN”

CHAO Rui(Chinese department ,Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing Jiangsu 210097,China)  
"WEN”(问) as a preposition originates from the process of verb functionalization, which is founded on serial verb .It was very activity for a time. But finally it was replaced by the preposition of "XIANG"(向),and just exist in dialect. The limited meaning is just the reason of its dwindling in the common language.
