Static Synthesis of Zeolite MCM-22

Zeolite MCM- 22 was prepared under static conditions by using hexamethy-leneimine as structure-directing agent. The dissolution of silica source was the rate control-ling step of the crystallization procedure. The ageing step was especially necessary and could speed the formation of nuclei. The composition of the slurry, such as water content, also had influences on the synthesis. On the other hand, adding seed could shorten the time of crystallization.
