Influence of Pore-Expanding Agents on Properties of β-Zeolite

Ding chunhua Fu jiquanResearch Center of Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology, Beijing 100029  
BET was used to study the influence of pore-expanding agents(polyethylene glycal with different molecular on properties of β-zeolite. Through the alkylation of benzene with propylene, the catalytic activity of pore-expanded β-zeolite was compared. It was shown that addition of an appropriate amount of pore-expanding agents could increase the surface area and pore volume of β-zeolite and improve its catalytic activity effectively.
