Review of the Advancement in Protective Clothing Comfort

Comfort is an important factor affecting the performance of protective clothing. In this paper,the cutting-edge achievements of research in protective clothing comfort were summarized from different aspects. The effect of modification in fiber,yarn and fabric on comfort improvement of protective clothing was first introduced,and then the parameters of the inner space control,inner layer material improvement,interlayer materials selection and clothing opening on the comfort of protective clothing were discussed. At last,the cooling methods such as liquid cooling,air cooling and phase change materials on the comfort improvement of protective clothing was demonstrated.
