Changes of Activities of Defensive Enzymes in Pepper Leaves Treated with Chito-Oligosaccaride and Inoculated with Powdery Mildew

The changes of activities of defensive enzymes were tested systematically in Zunyi Capsicum annuum treated with chito-oligosaccarides and inoculated with Leveillula taurica(Lev.) Arn in order to confirm the resistant mechanism of pepper to powdery mildew.The result showed that the activities of polyphen oloxidase(PPO),Peroxidase(POD) and phenylalanine am-monialyase(PAL)increased apparently compared with contrast plants,and the peaks of activities of PAL and PPO were earlier(inoculated after treated).So there was correlativity between the powdery mildew resitance ex-pression and the increase of activities of defensive enzymes.
