A Discussion on Optimization and Integration of Baosteel's Logistic Distribution

Baosteel Materials Distribution Center has two bottleneck problems: One is uncertainty of date of material requirement,and the other is low utilization of trucks for inbound logistics.An integration scheme was advanced in view of the information system and staff organization management.The requirement for delivery time should be controlled selectively,the way of distribution should be classified,so as to control the vehicle dispatch rhythm.Through detailed division of labour in the storehouse,and standardization of the carrying capacity in the distribution process,the information system can make a general list of distribution automatically.The utilization rate of vehicles has been raised,the delivery path has been optimized,the distribution mileage and the interval between two deliveries has been shortened,and finally Baosteel's material distribution capacity has been enhanced.
