Study of Technologies of Reducing Dioxin in Flue Gas from the Sintering Process

As an important process in steel making, sintering has been concerned for its dioxin emission in flue gas. The article introduces how dioxins are formed and produced in the sintering process. On the basis of its formation mechanism and characteristics of flue gas, several technologies of reducing dioxin emission, which have been applied in practice, were studied and analyzed. In addition, some proposals and suggestions suitable for Baosteel's sintering process were put forward in order to control dioxin emission.
