Measurement of Temperature Distribution Inside Roll's Surface Layer in Dual Frequency Hardening Process

The temperature distribution inside the surface layer of a roll(φ420) is measured on 50Hz/250Hz dual frequency induction hardening machine.The result shows that, in dual frequency hardening process, the temperature differential inside surface lay6r of a roll may reach 60℃; the highest temperature is at 10-15mm below the roll's surface layer, and the average cooling speed is found to be1. 9℃/s at 20mm from inside roll's surface layer.
