The Test and Performance Analysis of the HORIZON~R C~2M Battery

HE Shijuan, ZHANG Chengning,PENG lianyun, SUN Fengchun, TAN Jian(School of Mechanical and Vehicular Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing 100081, China)  
Combined with the batteries'usage in the Electric Vehicle (EV), the performance of the HORIZON○ C2M battery is measured and appraised. Its structure characteristics and advantages are described in detail. High current chargedischarge capability is analyzed, and the best charge current for this battery is also suggested. At the same time, the chargedischarge capacity efficiency and energy efficiency are calculated. Meanwhile, combined with the temperature's variation during the process of charge and discharge, the effect of the temperature to the battery performance is also summarized. The research result shows that the battery has great energy density, high power density and high current chargedischarge capability, so it is suitable for the EVs.
