Trafficbility of Mechanized Road Systems and the in-situ Experiment Method

An energy method is developed to evaluate the trafficbility of mechanized road systems. The tractive effort coefficient is an important for evaluating the trafficbility of an vehicle. The critical skid and the maximum tractive effort coefficient were given according to the relationship between the slip and the tractive effort coefficient. An in-situ experiment method for determining the tractive effort coefficient was proposed. The test result shows that the method is simple and effective.
