FPGA-Based Submarine Star Tracker System

The submarine star tracker system is controlled with an industrial control computer. The angle and velocity data is inputted through FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), the comprehensive comparison and a PID revising is made by industrial computer, and then the produced digital voltage signal is converted through the D/A converter. The movement of the torque motor was controlled with digital voltage signal amplified by PWM and the power amplifier. The system software includes such programs as the man-machine interactive interface, input and output interfaces and automatic tracking, etc. The system was applied to reduce components and enhance reliability and real time capability.
