Design of Two-Position Gyro-Based North Seeker with Error Compensation

The system of Two-Position gyro-based north seeker with error compensation includes power supply, turning device, control circuit and counter etc. On the basis of an error compensation model for Gyro and accelerometer, the formula of Two-Position gyro-based north seeking was deduced. Trigonometric function of azimuth and north seeking error created by static error source is direct ratio or constant value. The north seeking result is modified with magnetic deviation to reduce the gyroscope drift and accelerometer zero drift to influence on north-seeking accuracy. It can be improved the accuracy of north seeking by the use of the magnetic deviation amendatory algorithm.
