Application of Nonlinear Tracking-Differentiator in Carrier Phase Velocity Measurement

To solve the problems of noise amplification and time delay in traditional differentiators, a nonlinear tracking-differentiator is designed. Carrier phase rate is acquired by taking derivatives of discrete carrier phase measurements with the time delay compensated using the second order derivative estimated by the outputs of differentiator. Simulation and experimental results show that the differentiator can track the differential signals rapidly and accurately, and does well in both noise depression and time delay compensation. It is proved that this method helps to improve the accuracy of velocity measurement.
