Application of Fault Tree Analysis on Improving Weaponry and Equipment’s Reliability

According to the self-characteristics of weapons and equipment system, establish the fault tree, for example, it uses the mathematical methods to have qualitative and quantitative analysis, calculate and analyze the important parameters on the fault tree. The steps include: use downlink law and uplink law to seek a minimal cut-set, the calculation and analysis of most unreliable cut-set, the calculation of the probability and reliability of top events and the calculation of the importance of end incident. The results proved that fault tree analysis (FTA) is an effective analytical method which improves the reliability of weaponry system.
