Translation as Selective Adaptation and Adaptive Selection——Lu Xun's Selection of Source Texts and Translation Strategies in His Translation of Literary Works on Foreign Revolution

Translation is not just a language activity but an ecological activity closely associated with its surroundings.The theory of translation as adaptation and selection provides a new perspective for translation studies and this theory claims that the process of translation is a production of target texts by means of the translator's adaptation to the translational eco-environment and the translator's selection of the degree of adaptation.Under the guidance of this theory,in Lu Xun's translation of literary works on foreign revolution his selection of source texts and translation strategies adapted to the corresponding translational eco-environment.
